Apple Picking
I have made an appointment at Philip Orchards, 270 Rt 9H Claverack NY, for us to go apple picking on Wednesday 9/16. I think it would be great if we met there at 10am and then head back to the gym for lunch and any other plans for that day. Does that work for everyone, or is something else being planned? We can always switch the time. Please notify me if you know that 10am will not work for our group.
You can look at their website to see what will be available. https://philiporchardsny.com/harvest-2018
They will also make the red and golden delicious available to us that day even though it is officially a couple days early. They also should have pears available for picking. We can pick wildflowers for free.
They sell their apples by the 1/2 bushel bag (22 lb) which they hand out for free. The price is $25/bag BUT he offered to let us combine our bags to get the much better rate of $15/bag for sales of 4 or more bags which comes to $0.69/lb.
They only accept cash, so please bring cash that day, so we can pay as one order and get the bulk price.
We need to park in such a way that we leave plenty of space between each car.
Masks must be worn.
They have portable toilets and hand washing stations as well as hand sanitizer. Everyone must wash/sanitize hands before picking.
I am supposed to confirm our numbers the day before, so please email me if you plan to come and how many adults/children. anniemacintosh2@gmail.com
