US History
This class is a continuation of last year's US History class. We will start the fall semester in the 1850's and continue through the Civil War, Reconstruction and the Spanish-American War. Our primary text will be Howard Zinn's A Young People's History of the United States. Students are expected to do weekly readings outside of class (the last two semesters we read half a chapter a week) Classtime is spent in discussion, games, and projects related to the readings.
